2012 Odette Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District

The 2012 Odette Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, our inaugural vintage, exemplifies what our estate is about—freshness, energy, and verve—and acidity is the core of what makes that tick. The wines from our estate always have such freshness because our unique location allows us to capture the San Pablo breeze early in the afternoon, the warmth of St. Helena and Calistoga, and the hot air draws the cool air in from the south. Because we’re essentially a valley within the Valley at Odette, tucked between two hillside knolls, we get this extra wind effect that helps cool our vineyard down and preserves fresh acidity.
